In 2003 we introduced a new course. After 25 years of starting the race in Banchory, difficulties with other events in the park, and problems crossing an increasingly busy road mean we decided to move the start to the forest car park. The new course makes 2 different ascents of the hill, mostly on good tracks though there are a few rougher parts and a steep descent through the forest after the 2nd climb.
Please Note:
The car parking is limited at the start. There is a larger car park approximately 1 mile away in Banchory, where there are also public toilets. Please leave time to walk to the start. Latest entries, 1:45 (all events).
