Relay race

Satrurday 27 March sees the first Deeside Runners Relay take place from Dinnet to Cambus and back. The event starts at 10.30 with the first runner going to Cambus, second runner does a loop up Craig Dhu and the final runner heads back to the start.

Deeside double at Loch Kinord

 78 runners turned up for the inaugural race around the loch on Saturday Oct 24th. The rain mostly held off but conditions were very wet and slippy. Alan Reid put in a stron start but Robbie Simpson (Deeside Runners) took the lead once on the rough stuff and stayed in front for the remainder of the race winning in 36.22. Home club Deeside Runners scored well in the Women's race with Ruth Mackenzie winning in 45.54. Thanks to Peter Henry for organising what looks set to be a popular race.

With one race to go Donald is sitting in third place with Ruth first woman.

Tuesday training

Tuesday training is around Aboyne.   Meet at the Community Centre car park for a 6.45 start.

Morven 09

High drama at Morven with first and second in both male and female both seperated by only 1 second.  Veronique Oldham clinching first female and Dan Whitehead winning male.  The male team was one by Cosmics with Deeside Runners winning the female team.

Mountain Duathlon 09

23 competitors started but quite a few dropped out with various problems including alot of mechanicals on the bike.

Ballater 10 2009

A larger field than last year ignored the dire weather forecasts so we had 190 running.  First to finish was Deeside Runner Robbie Simpson who has only become old enough to run it this year.  He ran in 56.30 so if he gets quicker as he gets older he could take the course record 52.52.
